Overview

BMS follows the CBSE scheme of studies and NCERT texts from Grade I to Grade VIII, organised into three developmental stages the school calls Beej, Paudha and Ped — seed, sapling and tree.

This section sets out how the curriculum is designed, what is taught alongside it, which books we use, how the year is structured, how children are assessed, and what they wear.

Curriculum Design

Three stages mapped onto NEP 2020, a four-step lesson design used in every subject, and enrichment that is timetabled rather than optional.

Skill Subjects

Mental mathematics, Sanskrit, coding, the arts, mallakhamb and yoga — taught on the timetable, assessed, and open to every child.

Academic Calendar

Two terms, published examination dates, scheduled parent–teacher meetings and a fixed set of events — issued to parents at the start of the year.

Examination Policy

Continuous and comprehensive assessment as CBSE prescribes: two periodic tests, two examinations, portfolio and subject-enrichment marks, and no ranking.

School Uniform

A plain, practical uniform: regular days, a games kit for physical-education days, and a fixed set of standards on shoes, hair and jewellery.
