Tours & Excursions
A graded programme of day excursions and residential tours, each with a written itinerary, a staff ratio and parental consent on file.
Excursions are graded by age, from a half-day outing for the pre-primary children to a residential tour for the senior grades. Each one is planned as a learning activity with a stated purpose, and children come back to a follow-up task in class rather than only a photograph.
Graded by stage
| Stage | Typical outing | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-Primary | Farm, garden or a nearby park; a working bakery or fire station | Half day |
| Grades I–II | Zoo, botanical garden, planetarium or a museum | Full day |
| Grades III–V | Science centre, fort, dam or water-treatment plant | Full day |
| Grades VI–VIII | Heritage site, factory or research institution; adventure camp | Full day or overnight |
| Grades IX–X | Residential educational tour with a project brief | Two to four days |
How safety is handled
- Written itinerary and consent form issued to parents in advance
- Staff-to-child ratio fixed by age, with female staff on every trip
- Vehicle fitness, permit and driver records verified before departure
- First-aid kit and a trained staff member on every bus
- Head count at every boarding point, logged
- A school contact number available to parents through the day
No child is left behind for cost. Where a family cannot meet the charge for a trip, the school quietly covers it.
Come and see the school on an ordinary day — call the office and we will keep someone free to walk you around.
