School Events & Competitions

The fixed points of the school year — annual day, sports day, exhibitions, the national days and the inter-house calendar.

Our events are participation events. Annual day is not a showcase for the twenty most talented children; every class is on stage, and the sets and props are made in the art room by the children who will stand in front of them.

Through the year

  1. June

    Orientation

New children and parents shown the school and introduced to the class teacher; investiture of the school and house captains.

  2. July

    Reading week

Book displays, reading aloud across grades, and a book-character day for the primary school.

  3. August

    Independence Day

Flag hoisting, march past, patriotic-song competition and inter-house events begin.

Grade X children take the classes for a day; Hindi elocution and handwriting competitions.

  5. October

    Art & science exhibition

Children’s work and tinker-lab projects displayed for parents across an open afternoon.
