Bhaktivedanta Model School is committed to inclusive education as mandated under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act (RTE), 2009, the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPWD) Act, 2016, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, and follows the provisions of those policies in letter and spirit.
There is a lift in the building and the main entry has a ramp, and washrooms for children with special needs are provided.
Where a child needs it, their division is timetabled to a ground-floor classroom for the year, and examinations are arranged on the ground floor. Staff are briefed on assisting a child in an evacuation, and this is rehearsed as part of the drill rather than assumed.
